Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of the course is to enable the students to acquire knowledge and skills about the structure of the human body, the principles of functioning of the systems, cancer disease, diagnosis and treatment.
Course Content: To gain basic knowledge of clinical oncology for radiotherapy technicians

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Explain the general physics rules for radiotherapy technicians.
2) Uses the devices required for image acquisition in the live system.
3) Explains the basic principles of radiation oncology.
4) List cancer types and treatment principles.
5) Explain the side effects of radiotherapy, radiation oncology technicians.
6) Give an example of emergency in radiotherapy.
