Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to provide students the historical background of modern psychology.
Course Content: Natural sciences and philosophical movements which have an influence on the history of psychological science, main theories (e.g. psychoanalytic theory, behavioral theory, cognitive theory, feminist theory etc.) which shaped the history of psychological science.

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Learns the historical developments lead social sciences to be established.
2) Knows the philosophical approaches which impact on psychology.
3) Knows the physiological approaches which impact on psychology.
4) Understands the basic theories of psychology history.
5) Knows the modern psychological views.
