Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: Aim of the course is to provide a general introduction to personality psychology including definition of personality, study and assessment of personality and different approaches to personality.
Course Content: Personality theories such as psychoanalytic, neo-analytic, learning, social-cognitive, humanistic, existential and trait models structure of different personality models, definitions of personality and measurement and assessment methods of personality.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Student comprehends the main theories and concepts in the area of personality psychology.
2) Student understands the methods that psychologists use to study personality processes and individual differences
3) Student critically evaluates different personality theories
4) Student compares and contrasts different personality theories.
5) Student comprehends the methods of measurement and assessment for personality.
