Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to increase students’ knowladge about trauma, to teach trauma related mental diseases, to provide wide range of information about methods and interventions which developed for trauma treatments and crisis intervention.
Course Content: Assessment of crisis, crisis intervention, theories related to crisis, crisis and ethics, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, psychology of disasters, natural disasters, violence.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To learn the basic concepts and theories of trauma, crisis and crisis intervention
2) Learn trauma and crisis intervention techniques and how to use them
3) Recognizes and helps to construct individual and social solutions necessary for the prevention and intervention of trauma and crisis experiences.
4) Knows and applies professional ethical and legal requirements in crisis experiences and intervention processes.
