Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to obtain technical knowledge, application and preparation skills about natural resources carrying these active substance groups and their effects and uses.
Course Content: Classification, diagnosis, methods of obtaining alkaloids, essential oils and fixed oils, obtaining technical knowledge, application and preparation skills related to the natural resources carrying these active ingredient groups and their effects and uses.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Having ability to use the knowledge about natural sources.
2) Obtains active primer and seconder metabolites from natural sources.
3) Distinguish medicinal, poisonous or narcotic plants and knows to obtain their metabolites according to their phytochemistry.
4) Performs quality control in natural resources.
