Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of the course for each student;
It is aimed to gain knowledge and skills about complementary and alternative treatment methods which can be used as supporting nursing intervention in nursing care of the patient.
Course Content: Conceptual overview of complementary and alternative treatment methods, historical development of complementary and alternative treatment methods, use of complementary and alternative treatment methods, mind-body methods, music therapy, massage, acupressure, acupuncture, therapeutic touch, reiki and reflexology.

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To be able to recognize complementary and alternative treatment methods
2) Comprehend the importance of complementary and alternative treatment methods in the field of health
3) To be able to apply appropriate complement and alternative treatment methods in nursing care
