Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course; To be aware of the professional duties, powers and responsibilities of the emergency room nurse, to provide the students with up-to-date information about acute and critical patient care management and patient safety and ethical principles.
Course Content: The content of this course; Emergency and trauma nursing basic concepts, duties, powers and responsibilities, emergency service systems in the world and in Turkey, the scene evaluation, evaluation of emergency patients, triage, basic life support, advanced life support is an emergency medication.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) I. To be able to explain the importance of legal and ethical issues by knowing the duties, powers and responsibilities of the emergency room nurse,
2) II. To know and apply emergency service organization and triage,
3) III. To be able to evaluate the patients in the emergency department and implement new applications,
4) IV. To be able to include up-to-date practices related to patient and employee safety in the emergency department
