Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: Gaining knowledge, skills and attitudes about the basic concepts related to intensive care and intensive care nursing, and this knowledge and skills in the nursing process can be applied.
Course Content: This course; Cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological problems and nursing approaches that are common in patients followed in intensive care, appropriate nursing approaches in unconscious patient care, nutritional requirements of intensive care patient.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To recognize intensive care units and their properties,
2) Diseases encountered in intensive care units and learn patient groups,
3) Plan, implement and evaluate nursing care to be performed in intensive care patients.
