Course Objectives: | To prepare the students for storytelling by using digital design tools and applications, share their works on social media and interact with others in the same virtual community. |
Course Content: | This course first examines the basic principles and methods of storytelling and then takes up the consecutive stages of digital storytelling (the story itself, character, the problem, conflict, motivation, etc.). As the term project, the students will produce a transmedia work in the form of video, graphic novel or photo-novel and verbal text telling their family story by using mobile applications and share it on the social media. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Upon successful completion of the course, the students will have a command of The basics of narrative communication 2) Upon successful completion of the course, the students will have a command of the structure and techniques of storytelling. 3) Upon successful completion of the course, the students will have a command of transmedia storytelling. 4) Upon successful completion of the course, the students will have a command of the scope and the basics of digital storytelling 5) Upon successful completion of the course, the students will have a command of Video design by the use of mobile apps. 6) Upon successful completion of the course, the students will have a command of the methods and procedures of sharing digital story works on social media. |
