Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: In today’s world, the intensity of competition increases steadily due to globalization, the development of information and communication technologies, innovation and global uncertainty. For this reason, to sustain their assets with high performance, the companies have to provide with continuity successful strategic practices. At the conclusion of this course, students will have a better understanding of how a business operates in our modern political, social and economic , general environmental conditions and competitive environment.
Course Content: Strategic management, development of strategic management, social responsibility and ethics, external and internal environmental analysis, organizational analysis, institutional selection, business and operational strategies, implementation of strategies and control of strategies.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) • Developing a basic understanding of the field of strategic management
2) Discussing the nature of strategy formulation, implementation, and evaluation activities.
3) Developing the strategic thinking about the companies’ mission, vision and corporate responsibility
4) Developing the competitive strategies and plans within the scope of corporate , business and functional level of the organization.
5) To be able torealise SWOT, EFAS, IFAS analyzes of the business and to define its market place in the BDG matrix., and to understand the external environmental issues.
