Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to inform students about basic concepts of production management, automation and computer integrated manufacturing systems and tools used in businesses today, and to make students aware of the innovations resulting from digital transformation in the field of production management. With this knowledge, it is aimed to gain a perspective that can understand interaction of production processes and computer systems and realize digital transformation. |
Course Content: | This course covers the basic concepts of production management, automation and computer integrated manufacturing systems. All these subjects will be discussed from the perspective of digital transformation and innovations brought by digitalization. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To understand and apply the production process and the production planning 2) To analyze the structural, technical and managerial problems and needs in any production systems. 3) To gain and use skills related to production management 4) To know the computer integrated manufacturing systems and the effects of digitalization on production process. 5) To manage or contribute to digital transformation processes of production. |
