Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to train master students that have a clear conception on intercultural management subjects, investigate basic concepts and theories of this area and understand that how global companies are affected by intercultural diversity. Another aim is to provide master students that examine management and conflict styles across cultures and implications of these patterns in working effectively together, develop the skills to communicate effectively in intercultural settings and comprehend the functionality of intercultural diversity. |
Course Content: | Globalism and inter-culturalism, Dimensions of intercultural differences, Intercultural differences and business models, Intercultural differentiation and organizational behaviour approaches, The importance cultural diversity and strategic management, Cultural differences and conflict management, Human resources management in multi-cultural corporations. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To know about effect of culture on business life, develop the skills to communicate effectively in intercultural settings and comprehend the effect of future changes on different cultures, organizations and works. 2) To make analysis of global networks, internalization and global work systems. 3) To understand intercultural coalition and cultural relativity and comprehend management of intercultural diversity in terms of different culture models. |
