Course Objective and Content
| Course Objectives: | Discussion of basic concepts and approaches to urban design Understanding the urban design needs and priorities, Discussion of elements and tools of urban design Experimentation of working different scales and details in multiple dimensions in urban design |
| Course Content: | The history and theory of urban design, urban design practices, urban design methods and tools Topics to be discussed: • Development and components of cities • Urban design approaches • Urban morphology • Neighborhood unit - neighborhood - city relationship • City-nature-society relationship • General principles and methods of urban design |
