Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: It is a wide range, multi-voice, multicultural, universal course.
To students; The aim of this course is to help the students to enrich and contribute to their possible designs by linking the past and the future.
The period / period / styles / movements within the history of architecture and art are given by thematic narration by considering social, economic, cultural and social aspects; students are expected to make evaluation / comparison / questioning; It is aimed to have conscious perspectives and to create intellectual infrastructures.
Course Content: Art movements and their effects on architecture, their reflections on painting and sculpture

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Recognize the evolution of humanity and creative thinking in the field of art and architecture,
2) Cultural inputs; gaining the ability to look / see / interpret / analyze / evaluate / compare and question,
3) To comprehend the historical environment in the most general sense, to understand the art and socio-cultural conditions of the artist,
4) To have a rich professional language by recognizing the terms, terms and concepts by navigating between terms and concepts.
5) To learn the general styles of art works, periodical features and to distinguish the architectural and artistic features of different civilizations and periods,
6) Classification by materials, techniques and types; art object, design, craft object, industrial product separation,
7) Giving information about the way and art of art in human history and providing additional information to its designs and projects,
8) To comprehend the importance of giving importance to universal cultural assets and to be able to connect with past and future.

4) The Breaking of the Traditional World, the Beginning of the Modern World; The changes brought by the Renaissance period; Relative and watched relationship with subject and object; The Perspective, the Perspective, the new perspective on art / architecture / artist

6) A brief overview of the history of music through temporal reality and spatial reality; Renaissance and Baroque comparison
