Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: Understanding of Turkey's foreign policy-making process, to learn the basic concepts of Turkish Foreign Policy, gaining the ability to analyze events that influence foreign policy.
Course Content: The development of Turkish Foreign Policy in the historical process, the basic concepts of Turkish foreign policy, Turkish foreign policy during the War of Independence, Turkish foreign policy between the two wars, Turkish foreign policy after the Second World War, Turkish foreign policy in the Cold War period.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Learn the factors that formation and the basic principles of Turkish Foreign Policy
2) Understand the internal and external reasons that Turkish Foreign Policy to be shaped in different periods.
3) Define different contexts in Turkish Foreign Policy
4) Gain knowledge of basic debates in Turkish Foreign Policy and gain the ability to analyze
5) Comprehend the path Turkey has taken in establishing international relations in foreign policy.
