Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: This course aims some of the central issues and themes such as war, security, sovereignty, world order, human rights, global political economy, migration, citizenship.
Course Content: With a wide-ranging focus, this course is intended to examine the world politics by searching answers to various key questions. The causes of national and international conflicts and the conditions for peace, emergence of international terrorism, phenomenon of globalization and establishment and maintenance of international order and stability will be, in that sense, main topics of the course.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Students will gain critical understanding of contemporary issues in world politics.
2) Students will have information about the basic phenomena that shape world politics and will be able to interpret current developments.
3) Students will learn some themes such as war, security, sovereignty, world order, human rights, global political economy, migration, citizenship.
