Course Objectives: | The course aims to introduce students to international political economy. |
Course Content: | This course will revolve around fundamental questions concerning the global functioning of the economy: How does globalization affect the economy and politics? What are the main issues and contemporary trends regarding the global economy? How is the agency of political actors shaped by global economic forces? This course aims to provide students with a basic familiarity with current theoretical and practical trends in IPE. Several issues –e.g. production, trade, finance, labor relations, development, technology, multinational corporations, and economic crises – will be addressed in the context of globalization. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
