Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives:

With this course, the student will gain the ability to design and arrange interior spaces, and within the scope of the interior design process of the student, the structures that have complex functions in the structural environments with natural, architectural or historical characteristics in the human-social environment relationship, defining the space, determining the problems of the space, collecting information, It is aimed to evaluate them, develop original solutions and synthesize and present solutions that can reach results.

Course Content:

The content of the course is based on determining the functions, defining the concept and performing an interior design complete with technical details for the project to be given. The typology of cultural structures is covered in the course. In the case of buildings that can offer different solutions in the environmental and cultural context, re-evaluation, aesthetic and physical performance conditions, requirements for the disabled, courtyard and garden solutions are investigated. Subjects that prioritize the work program with interior and exterior detail solutions, focus on furniture and landscape design, structural problems, electrical, sanitary, acoustic and air conditioning problems are investigated.
