Course Objectives: | In this course, it is aimed for the student to understand the communication process and use it effectively, to have basic competencies in oral and written communication, to increase self-expression and communication skills, to learn to take an active role in the group and health team, and to develop the ability to provide effective communication. |
Course Content: | At the end of this course, the student; The concept of communication, the importance of communication in human relations and the factors affecting communication, the basic characteristics and needs of people, effective communication methods, the importance of health communication, group dynamics and communication in groups, therapeutic communication, the basics of professional communication and professional communication skills, communicating with individuals and groups in special situations and all this information is aimed to be comprehended and applied in the field of health. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Defines the concepts of human, self-knowledge, communication, professional communication, conflict and anger. 2) Explain how the communication process works. 3) Learn verbal and non-verbal communication methods; the basic skills to communicate effectively in everyday and professional life. 4) Use effective anger and conflict management strategies and therapeutic communication skills in social and professional life. 5) Develops workforce skills that will ensure their employability. |
