Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of the course for each student;
The aim of the course is to provide the students with the knowledge and skills about internal diseases and care, to identify problems related to internal diseases, to be able to make appropriate attempts and to evaluate them
Course Content: To be able to know basic nursing concepts related to internal diseases, to understand the structural and functional changes and causes, diagnosis and treatment applications, to develop basic nursing care skills and to use problem solving skills.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) I. To be able to know the concepts, principles and rules related to internal medicine nursing
2) II. To be able to synthesize the knowledge gained in other courses along with the theoretical knowledge gained in the field of Internal Medicine Nursing
3) III. To be able to see the individual with internal diseases as a whole as a physical, psychological and social whole
4) IV. To be able to use the nursing process effectively in the care of the individual with internal diseases problem
5) V. To be able to use problem solving skill effectively in cases requiring nursing care in internal diseases
6) VI. To provide a holistic approach to the individual with internal diseases
7) VII. To be able to make decisions and planning based on evidence / research in nursing practices
8) VIII. Be able to use critical thinking process in applications
9) IX. To be able to use informatics and maintenance technologies in nursing activity areas (education, application, research and management)
