Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of the course for each student;
The aim of this course is to teach the duties and responsibilities of the sports physiotherapist, the competencies in the organizations and clubs, evaluation of physical fitness for sedentary individuals and athletes, preparing physical activity prescription, the principles of prevention for injuries for each sport, and the treatment and rehabilitation approaches.
Course Content: Prevention of sports injuries, first aid in sports injuries, pre-treatment, definitive treatment, rehabilitation principles, soft tissue injuries, review of injuries related to upper and lower extremities, physical activity, physical fitness

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) It lists the evaluations of healthy and injured athletes under clinical conditions and explains its application.
2) Plans pre-treatment, treatment and rehabilitation program.
3) Knows and lists theoretical skills on sports injury prevention.
4) Plans a physical activity prescription.
5) It plans to evaluate and improve the physical fitness of sedentary individuals and athletes.
