Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of the course for each student;
Students are expected to understand the basic terms and principles related to biomechanics, to present a biomechanical point of view about the situations they will encounter in the clinic and to give examples.
Course Content: Definition of kinesiology, movement and movement types, mechanical properties and pathokinetics of tissues in the body, movement and mechanical principles, mechanical properties and pathomechanics of bone, muscle, collagen and cartilage tissue, properties of body joints, balance, orientation planes and coordinates, normal and pathological gait issues

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) It defines the normal mechanical, anatomical and pathomechanical properties of the tissues that make up the musculoskeletal system.
2) Defines and evaluates information regarding balance, gravity, coordinates and orientation planes.
3) It identifies, evaluates and analyzes the normal biomechanics and pathomechanics of all joints in the body.

1) Knows the basic concepts and terminology, evaluation processes and methodological application principles in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation; uses this advanced knowledge in study, research and practice. 3 3
