Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of the course for each student;
The aim of this course is to teach the physiological mechanisms of physiological effects of hot, cold, heat and light applications in physiotherapy.
Course Content: Inflammation, tissue healing, the mechanism of pain, the effect of pain and healing, physical properties of heat and light, physiological effects of superficial heat agents, infrared, laser, uvl, heliotherapy, fludoterapy, humid hot applications, intermittant compression, cold application and physiological effects, physical principles, physiological effects, hydrotherapy methods, aqua therapy, spa treatment

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Acquire theoretical and practical skills in clinical conditions, selection of appropriate treatment modalities, application principles and application.
2) define physical and physiological effects of surface temperature modalities.
3) Describe the physiological effects of hydrotherapy and explain the basic concepts.
4) Explain the aims and application methods of the tests used in hydrotherapy.
