Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of the course; The aim of the course is to enable students to gain practical and theoretical knowledge and skills about patient history, general physiotherapy assessments, basic principles of movement, posture analysis (lateral, anterior, posterior), shortness tests, elasticity tests, anthropometric measurements, normal joint movement and muscle strength evaluations.
Course Content: Patient history and general physiotherapy assessments, basic principles of motion, posture analysis (anterior, lateral, posterior), shortness and elasticity tests, anthropometric measurements (environment, length, diameter and fat measurements), normal joint motion and muscle strength evaluations.


Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Records the history of different diagnosis of patients.
2) Learns the basic principles of movement and explain the importance of these principles in the physiotherapy and rehabilitation
3) Performs posture analysis (anterior, lateral and posterior posture analysis) and determine the postural disorders in healthy or disabled people.
4) Applies shortness and flexibility tests and evaluation
5) Performs anthropometric measurements (circumference, length, diameter, and skinfold measurements)
6) Have the ability to evaluate range of motion
7) Assesses to measure muscle strength
