Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: 1. Providing an economic literacy about the basic topics in economics,
2. Providing the ability of comprehending the current economic issues and interpreting the current economic developments through the basic knowledge on the Turkish and the world economy.
Course Content: Supply and Demand, Market Equilibrium, Quotas and Price Ceilings, Market Power, Externalities and Property Rights, Information Economics and Adverse Selection, Benefit-Cost Analysis, Income Distribution and Labour Markets, Public Goods, Political Economy, Economic Growth, Business Cycles, Income and Spending, Monetary Policy, Macroeconomic Policy, International Economy.

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Have knowledge about basic economic concepts.
2) Follows different approaches regarding Türkiye and the World economy
3) Have knowledge about the current economic issues.
4) Establishes the relationship between economics and other scientific fields.

4) They will analyze, evaluate the developments in health management by using scientfic methods and techniques and develop solutions.
5) They will follow the developments in the field by using a foreign language at least at the level of European Language Portfolio B1.
