Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to provide the necessary professional development about the drugs, how they will be used, their effects and their toxicity.
Course Content: Prescription and OTC drug information in Turkey, routes of administration, mechanism of action in the body, their purpose, their interaction with each other, to learn and to be notified of toxic side effects that may occur

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Describes the drug and tells the drug active ingredients.
2) Explains the stages of development of drugs.
3) Explains the drugs according to the routes of application and their effects.
4) Explains the factors that can change the effect of drugs.
5) Classify drugs according to their intended use and informs about their use.
6) Explains the adverse and toxic effects of drugs and predicts interactions with each other.
7) Describe the types of poisoning and the drugs to be used in the treatment.
