Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to explain the basic calculations to be used in pharmacy service education and pharmacy technician profession.
Course Content: The course content includes measurement systems, concentration expressions, necessary controls for resolution, measurement tools and usage, dilutions and alcohol conversion, simple chemical equations, dose calculations.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) He/ She makes ratio, the calculations of proportion.
2) He/ She learns the international measurement systems.
3) He/ She makes the basic solution and concentration calculations.
4) He/ She defines the percentage weight / weight, weight / volume, volume / volume concentration calculation.
5) He/ She performs alcohol conversion.
6) He/ She calculates the dilution in solid and semi-solid dosage forms.
7) He/ She applies maximal dose and toxic dose calculation.
8) He/ She applies child and elderly dose.

1) Has the knowledge and knowledge to follow the resources related to the profession and has the ability to communicate properly in oral and written form. 1

12) Have the discipline necessary for team work, high communication skills, technical and application knowledge.
