Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: At the end of this course, students will learn the conceptual information about the protection and development of mental health, mental health profiles in the world and our country, mental changes / psychological problems specific to developmental periods of women and responsibilities for the protection and development of mental health.
Course Content: Women's mental health and mental disorders in Turkey and world , mental disorders according to women's developmental status, protecting and improving interventions of the mental health of women.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Knows the characteristics of individuals with and without mental health
2) Evaluate the mental state of women.
3) To be able to list the basic principles for the protection and development of women's mental health.
4) Define psychological / psychiatric problems specific to women's developmental periods
5) Discuss appropriate approaches to the prevention of violence and violence against women in our country and in the world.
6) Discuss appropriate interventions in psychiatric conditions during gynecology, pregnancy and postpartum period.
