Course Objectives: | Objective of this course is that students; Getting a history of breast feeding, preparation of the mother to breastfeed, breastfeeding assessment, Coping with breast problem; describe the functions of breastfeeding consultation and adapt them to application field. At the same time, improve the skills of midwives to provide listening and trust in people, and to ensure that mothers are able to help you more effectively. |
Course Content: | Lactation, the importance of breastfeeding, prenatal and postpartum breastfeeding counseling, successful breastfeeding, breast problems and coping strategies, work life and breastfeeding |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To able to define the concept and approach to successful breastfeeding 2) To able to explain the importance of breastfeeding 3) To be able to tell the properties of breast milk and explain to contributions of maternal, infant and community health 4) To be able to count of breastfeeding rates, and explain the breastfeeding problem in our country 5) To be able to explain to Breastfeeding counseling and breastfeeding components 6) To be able to Use of audio-visual educational tools and develop the skills of interactive health education, communication and consultation 7) To be able to explain Breast-feeding difficulties, to able to discuss how you can be solved and acquire the skills of midwifery care functions 8) To able to explain breastfeeding self efficacy 9) To able to observe and evaluate of breastfeeding using the diagnostic form |
