Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: It is aimed to learn the importance of Family Planning in terms of family and society, family planning methods and counseling.
Course Content: It includes the definition and importance of family planning, the purpose and benefits of family planning, family planning studies and practices, population characteristics and population policies in the world and in Turkey, the place and importance of the midwife in family planning counseling, family planning methods, contraception in emergency and special situations.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Will be able to define family planning
2) Will be able to explain the aims and importance of family planning
3) will be able to discuss the characteristics of the population and population policies in the world and in Turkey
4) List family planning methods
5) Provide family planning counseling

1) Using the concepts and theories that constitute the basis of care, they know and plan appropriate initiatives in health protection and development. 3 3 3 3 3

3) In the period between the formation of the pregnancy and the birth, it can give the qualified care which is in need of normal / risk pregnant and his / her family. 2 2 2 2 2
