| Course Objectives: | The aim of this course for every student is; To recognize individuals with cleft lip and palate. |
| Course Content: | Anatomy, physiology, embryology and classification of cleft lip and palate. What is nutrition in individuals with cleft lip and palate? Evaluation of speech and resonance characteristics of individuals with cleft lip and palate; nasometric evaluation; therapy in individuals with cleft lip and palate; genetic malformations and craniofacial syndromes; The role of language and speech therapist in cases of cleft lip and palate. |

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Describes the normal and cleft anatomy and physiology of the cleft lip palate. 2) Classify the cleft lip palate and its types. 3) Define language, speech and resonance characteristics of individuals with cleft lip and palate. 4) Evaluate individuals with cleft lip and palate. 5) Individuals with cleft lip and palate can perform individual speech therapy. |
