Course Objectives: | Language, speech, communication disorders diagnosis and therapy planning to gain the ability to use the basic concepts of linguistics. |
Course Content: | To explain introduction to clinical linguistics, syntax, morphology, phonology and phonetics, pragmatic and narrative analysis, language structure in normal language development, the structure and evaluation of language in developmental and acquired language disorders. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Describes the basic concepts of linguistics 2) Have knowledge about the structure of language in developmental and acquired language and speech disorders. 3) Analyze language samples in terms of linguistics 4) Therapy also includes linguistic features in therapies 5) Learns the theories about syntax, morphology, phonology, pragmatics. 6) Comprehend how the concepts of linguistics can be used in the field of language and speech therapy 7) Students will be able to analyze linguistic aspects of typical and atypical language samples. |
