| Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is for each student; Definition of the language and speech therapy profession, teaching the duties, powers and responsibilities of the language-speech therapist within the framework of ethical principles, teaching the basic knowledge about the application areas of the profession and working subjects. |
| Course Content: | And the development of speech and language therapy profession in the world and in the history of Turkey; the definition of the language and speech therapist; Contact; language and speech processes; the clinical and educational classification of communication-language and speech disorders; the causes, types and characteristics of communication-language and speech disorders; language and speech disorders; language disorders; phonology-speech sound disorders; stuttering; deaf people; voice disorders; neurogenic communication disorders; cooperation with different disciplines: teamwork, role of other experts, task boundaries, swallowing disorders, developmental language. |
