Course Objectives: | The aim of the course is to teach basic physics concepts (frequency, period, wave types, sound pressure, sound power, sound intensity) and to use these concepts in sound physics. |
Course Content: | To explain the physical and psychophysicalproperties of sound, the acousticelements of phonetics and speech and their relation to hearing and speech. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Understands the basic physics principles 2) Learns physical quantities and their relationship with the physics of sound. 3) Obtains basic hearing system knowledge. 4) Can make objective and subjective evaluation of sound. 5) Recognizes the use of basic physical laws in medicine. |
