| Course Objectives: | The aim of this course for every student is; To learn special needs individuals and their properties. |
| Course Content: | Definitions and terminology related to being special needs; mainly special needs groups: individuals with mental retardation, individuals with pervasive developmental disabilities, hearing loss individuals, visually impaired individuals, individuals with language and speech disorders, gifted individuals, students with learning disabilities, individuals with emotional-behavioral problems; educational initiatives applied to special needs individuals; special education; cohesion and support special education services; special education during early childhood and pre-school periods; Special education in Turkey; In the world and in Turkey; social state and disability; Public policies towards the disabled: past, present; The quality and quantity of the disabled population in Turkey; the situation of the disabled in social life; the status of the disabled in working life; seeking policy and education for disabled people. |
