Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: This course aims to improve students' Arabic grammar and communication skills at the pre-intermediate level. Specifically, it focuses on teaching the use of modern Arabic in daily life while improving students' reading, writing, listening, speaking and vocabulary skills.
Course Content: This course covers improving basic effective communication skills through reading, writing, speaking and listening. It also covers cultural beliefs, values and various aspects of everyday life in Arabic speking countries.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Students will be able to read simple Arabic texts that are overlapping their interests or occupational subjects, and can understand the basic idea in a text.
2) Students will be able to understand the written and verbal expressions of Arabic based on the subjects they encounter frequently in daily life.
3) Students can cope with most situations, such as shopping or address recipes, which require foreign language to communicate while traveling.
4) Students can write Arabic texts in which transitions among the ideas are created on subjects of personal interest in a simple way.
5) Students can share their experiences; talk about their dreams and wishes, briefly explain their thoughts and plans with their reasons in Arabic.

1) To have theoretical and practical knowledge at the basic level supported by textbooks, application tools and other sources with current knowledge in the field based on the qualifications gained at the secondary level.
2) To gain the ability to use the theoretical and practical knowledge at the basic level in the same field at an advanced level or at the same level. To be able to interpret and evaluate data, to define problems, to analyze and to develop solutions based on evidence, by using basic knowledge and skills acquired in the field.
