Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is; To gain knowledge and skills at a level that can examine the basic concepts, theories and principles related to child health and diseases according to child age groups in line with the health needs of the society, and meet the care needs of the healthy / sick child and their family with a professional holistic approach at every stage of health care |
Course Content: | Information and practices to protect and improve the health of the child, family and society and to meet the care needs of the child with a holistic approach in cases where health is impaired General concepts of child health and diseases, newborn, growth and development disorders, nutrition and disorders, disorders / diseases related to organs and systems, growth and development monitoring and measurements. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Will be able to understand the philosophy of care for child health and diseases 2) Will be able to explain the developmental characteristics of children and their approaches to protection and development of health for each period. 3) Will be able to understand the standards specific to the developmental stages of the child and their families 4) Will be able to evaluate growth and development in children and detect normal and abnormal situations |
