Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: Especially children; The aim is to provide students with information on communication skills required for family, colleagues and other professional team, through online theoretical and group interactions as well as supportive applications and to prepare them for the field.
Course Content: In this course, the communication process and its elements, positive communication with the child at the age of 0-14, family-child communication, communication barriers with the child, listening to the child, guidance in family-child communication, conflictual communication, research on communication with the child are discussed.

1) Defines the concept of communication.
2) Interpret effective verbal/nonverbal communication skills.
3) Explains communication barriers and removal methods.
4) Analyzes communication skills in children and families.
5) Organizes effective communication activities with children aged 0-14.

4) To understand the basic concepts, approaches and theories related to the field of child development, relate the current experiences with national and international developments.
