Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to make the patient pre-operative preparation, to provide information to support the anesthesiologist during surgery, the concept of risk in anesthesia and the effects of anesthetic agents on the physiological systems to provide learning.
Course Content: Monitoring of the monitoring process, application areas of anesthesiology, the role and functions of anesthesia technician, the types of anesthesia and anesthetic agents.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) He/She explains the history of anesthesiology, the role and functions of anesthesia technician.
2) He/She has knowledge about ASA classification, cardiovascular system monitoring.
3) He/She explains the properties of anesthesia, preoperative evaluation, fluid-electrolyte balance, acid-base balance and blood gas evaluation.
4) He/She explains anesthetic procedures in intensive care.
5) He/She explains ,anesthesia and respiratory physiology, the effects of anesthetic agents on respiratory system.
6) He/She gains knowledge of the application of anesthetic agents in chest diseases.
7) He/She explains anesthesia and circulatory physiology the effects of anesthetic agents on the circulatory system.
8) He/She gains knowledge of the application of anesthetic agents in cardiovascular system diseases.
