Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: his program, to be an active user of computer information systems to provide basic information about the operating system and office application programs (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to give the basic skills to use.
Course Content: The concept of Information and Communication, Information and Communication Systems, Microsoft Office programs, applications of Microsoft Office programs, Word word processor program interface, features and applications, PowerPoint presentation program interface, features and applications, Excel spreadsheet program interface, features and applications.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Explains the basic concepts related to Information and Communication Systems Literacy.
2) Recognize the basic structures and functions of the computer.
3) Uses the current versions of Microsoft Office programs at a good level.
4) Prepares document, creates documents in desired format.
5) Makes a graphical expression, creates a table and analyzes the data.
6) Prepare the promotional material using the ready template.
7) Prepare presentation materials and make a visual presentation.
8) Creates electronic spreadsheets.

Course Flow Plan

Week Subject Related Preparation
1) Development of technology, development of information and communication systems and basic concepts of computer.
2) Definition of Microsoft Office programs and introduction to the Word Program.
3) Word Program, interface recognition, new document preparation and writing rules and importance.
4) What is the Word Program's paragraph, how is it created? (Using page number, style, moving around the document)
5) Creation of the table of contents in the Word Program.
6) In Word applications (object insertion) and resume creation
7) Questions solutions on the topics
8) MIDTERM
9) What is PowerPoint Presentation, PowerPoint interface and quick presentation preparation techniques to learn.
10) Use tables, graphics and smart shapes with PowerPoint.
11) Learn the application of slide transitions and object animations with PowerPoint
12) Overview of Excel program and understanding of Excel interface.
13) Excel to create tables, graphs, Excel formulas, simple 4 processing applications.
