Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To have knowledge about dental anatomy, development of teeth and tissues; To evaluate the morphological and anatomical features of permanent teeth.
Course Content: Learning the terminological structures related to the anatomical and morphological features of the teeth and oral structures, Dental Formula, Notation Concept and Notation Systems, Parts and Tissues of the Tooth, Tooth Groups, Surfaces and Edges, Tooth Edges and Angles, Anatomical Crown Morphology, Morphological and anatomical features of the upper central incisor, Upper lateral Morphological and anatomical features of the incisor. Morphological and anatomical features of the upper canine. Morphological and anatomical features of the upper 1st premolar. Morphological and anatomical features of the upper 2nd premolar. Morphological and anatomical features of the upper 1st molar. Morphological and anatomical features of the upper 2nd molar. 5) He/ She describes the anatomy of the central nervous system, peripheral nervous system, sensory organs and endocrine system.
6) He/ She describes and explains the anatomy of the tooth and jaw joint.
