Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to provide students with basic information about the applications of biotechnology in the health sector, to understand the use of bioengineering products and to encourage them to think about the ethical aspects of health technologies.
Course Content: Based on the fundamentals of biotechnology, its applications in the field of health will be covered through current examples.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Explains the basic concepts and historical development of biotechnology.
2) Explain the basic principles of biotechnological products used in health services.
3) Evaluate the impact of biotechnological innovations on patient care.
4) Discuss the ethical and social aspects of health technologies.
5) Describe the functions of bioengineering products (prostheses, implants, etc.).
6) Analyzes the contributions of biotechnological innovations to patient care and public health.
