Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To provide insight into global issues and countries in light of historical, economic, commercial, political, social, geographical, and religious backgrounds as well as current developments, international disputes, and collaborations;
to make evaluations & assumptions about potential emerging markets and topics related to international trade; and to develop policy recommendations based on these evaluations & assumptions.
Course Content: This course addresses global political and technological history, international competition, and global economic dynamics. Topics include wars that have shaped the world, current disputes, areas of cooperation, the influence of religion, the developing African economy, and current international economic, political, social, and commercial developments. International relations will be analyzed throughout the course.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Students will be able to analyze the effects of world political and technological history on global developments.
2) Students will be able to evaluate the economic dynamics between countries by explaining theories of international competition and foreign trade.
3) Students will be able to interpret the wars that shaped the world and today's international disputes, and the effects of religion on trade and social life in a historical context.
4) Students will be able to analyze data on world trade volume and the developing African economy.
5) Students will have an idea about the impact of social media on daily life, economy and trade.
