Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage, communicate, and lead in diverse cultural environments, while addressing ethical challenges and developing strategies for global partnerships and assignments. |
Course Content: | "Managing in Different Cultures” provides students with an in-depth understanding of how cultural differences affect managerial practices and organizational behavior in a globalized world. The course explores key concepts of intercultural communication, cross-cultural management, and global leadership using case studies, discussions, and practical examples. Students will examine cultural frameworks, analyze management challenges across different cultural contexts, and develop strategies for effective decision-making and problem-solving in diverse environments. The course emphasizes the importance of cultural awareness and adaptability in achieving organizational success in international settings. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Identify and analyze cultural environments and their impact on organizational practices. 2) Communicate effectively in cross-cultural settings. 3) Demonstrate an understanding of global leadership principles and adapt leadership styles to different cultural contexts. 4) Evaluate ethical dilemmas and social responsibilities in managing international organizations. 5) Develop strategies for successful partnerships and negotiations in diverse cultural environments. 6) Prepare for global assignments by creating management plans that address cultural challenges. |
