Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: This course aims to develop students' clinical leadership capacity and skills by recognising their individual development areas, gaining a sense of shared success with others, providing individual-oriented service, focusing on business results and process improvement in order to ensure patient-employee safety and improve health care service quality.
Course Content: This course includes the main components of clinical leadership, individual characteristics necessary for clinical leadership, managing self and work, working together as a team, communicating and collaborating effectively with health team members, managing conflicts, using evidence in care, coordinating care, focusing on people/individuals and improving care outcomes, professional values and patient advocacy, managing care in a mixed ward and ensuring continuity of care.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Recognise areas of development related to personal and professional characteristics.
2) Develops an understanding of shared success with colleagues and other team members
3) Takes into account the individual needs and priorities of patients while providing care.
4) Follows and finalises the daily, weekly-monthly work plans and applications.
