| Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to provide the student with the knowledge and skills related to advanced nursing management of high-risk newborns hospitalized in the neonatal intensive care unit. |
| Course Content: | This course includes the characteristics of neonatal intensive care units, principles of neonatal intensive care nursing, principles of transport and advanced life support of the newborn, patient safety in the NICU, patient and family care needs, and innovations in neonatal intensive care. |

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Explain the care needs of the high-risk newborn 2) Manage the advanced nursing care required for high-risk newborns 3) Follows current approaches to the care of the baby hospitalized in neonatal intensive care. 4) Produce evidence-based solutions to problems encountered in neonatal intensive care areas. 5) Evaluate current approaches to the care of the infant hospitalized in neonatal. |
