| Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to prepare students for professional working life by enabling them to apply the general and professional knowledge, attitudes, and skills they acquire during their education in a clinical setting, and to demonstrate the roles and functions expected of a graduating nurse at the highest level, in order to provide safe and high-quality care services in healthcare facilities. |
| Course Content: | This course aims to help students reinforce their professional knowledge and skills through theoretical lectures and clinical practice involving direct patient care in hospitals; to create and implement patient-centered care plans using data collected through physical examination and assessment; to educate patients and their families; to improve themselves using feedback from educators and clinical guide nurses, along with current evidence and scientific information ; to engage in group work and presentations; to develop communication, teamwork, problem- solving, and leadership skills; and to contribute positively to patient safety and quality of care, institutional culture, and change in the work environment . Students conduct their clinical practice in adult and pediatric internal medicine and surgery clinics, as well as in units housing women`s health and obstetrics patients at MLP Care hospitals. Additionally, they focus on developing the knowledge and skills of nurses in charge and management at the MLPCare Central Management Unit and in hospitals. |

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Applies nursing care using evidence-based guidelines and nursing process in line with legal and ethical principles. 2) Communicates effectively with the individual / family / community and health care team members. 3) Carries out the training of patients and their relatives. 4) Offers solutions to ensure patient safety and improve quality in the unit where they work. 5) Uses scientific and current knowledge in patient care practices, education and other material development and presentation works. |
