Course Objectives: | This course aims to introduce students to the development of contemporary Turkish cinema, its key directors, films, and cinematic language. Students will understand the historical evolution of Turkish cinema and explore its cultural and social impact while examining its place in the modern cinematic world. |
Course Content: | The historical development of Turkish cinema Turkish cinema after the 1980s Key directors and films in contemporary Turkish cinema Social and cultural impact of Turkish cinema Cinematic language and modes of expression in Turkish cinema The relationship between art and commerce in Turkish cinema The evaluation of Turkish cinema by local and international critics Film festivals and awards in Turkish cinema |
