Course Objectives: | The course objectives are to study how food can be used as a tool for cultural diplomacy and international understanding. |
Course Content: | This course explores the intersection of food, culture, and international relations. The main focus is on public diplomacy through international culinary promotion. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Students will learn the concept of gastrodiplomacy, the use of cuisine as instruments to foster cross-boundary cultural understanding. 2) Learn the historical origins, theoretical frameworks and practical applications of gastrodiplomacy. |
