Course Objectives: | To inform students about informed food choices and to recognise toxic components present in foods or formed during processing. |
Course Content: | Definition of food components, food technology and food safety, food spoilage, food waste, food preservation, food packaging and label literacy, food sensitivity, toxic components formed during food processing, toxicological evaluation of foods, food additives, pesticides and veterinary drugs. |
